Job Title: Physiotherapy Specialist

The successful applicant will provide a culturally appropriate therapy service including assessment, treatment, and evaluation of clients. They will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support the care and developmental needs of Aboriginal clients in the Northern Territory.

  • Provide contemporary, evidence-based physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment, planning, and evaluation for people presenting with a wide range of conditions.
  • Participate in regular formal and informal performance feedback and improvement sessions.
  • Effectively communicate with a multidisciplinary team, including clients and external service providers, to ensure seamless client services.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve processes, quality, and service delivery outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in physiotherapy.
  • A current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience with adult case loads.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of varied physiotherapy methods of assessment, treatment, and evaluation.
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, ability to manage a clinical case load and time effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers.
  • High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability to deal with challenging situations.
