Physiotherapy Specialist

This role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to support the care and developmental needs of Aboriginal clients in the Northern Territory.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working collaboratively to address the social determinants of health and empower individuals, families, and communities to optimize their well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment, planning, and evaluation for people presenting with a wide range of conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that cater to diverse needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, external service providers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, quality, and service delivery outcomes, and make recommendations accordingly.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience with adult case loads.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of varied physiotherapy methods of assessment, treatment, and evaluation.
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, ability to manage a clinical case load, and time effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and high accuracy.
  • Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with diverse people and service providers.
  • High level of personal resilience and flexibility, with the ability to deal with challenging situations.
