Job Objective:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Community Engagement Manager to spearhead our community outreach efforts in Victoria. The ideal candidate will be tasked with crafting and executing strategies that foster relationships, enhance awareness, and advocate for inclusion and accessibility in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy to meet organizational goals.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with local community organizations, groups, and stakeholders.
  • Design and implement community engagement initiatives, programs, and events that promote inclusion and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment of community engagement activities with organizational objectives.
  • Identify and explore opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships.
  • Oversee budgets, reporting, and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to NDIS regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in community engagement, community development, or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing community engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and project management abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS and the disability services sector.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in working with individuals with disabilities or within the health and social services sector is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related area.
  • Experience in Victoria's disability services market.
  • Familiarity with local community networks and organizations.
