Job Objective:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Community Engagement Manager to spearhead our community outreach efforts in Victoria. The ideal candidate will take charge of crafting and executing strategies aimed at fostering relationships, enhancing awareness, and advocating for inclusion and accessibility throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Establish and nurture robust connections with local community organizations, groups, and stakeholders.
  • Design and implement community engagement initiatives, programs, and events that promote inclusion and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure community engagement efforts are in harmony with organizational objectives.
  • Identify and explore opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships.
  • Oversee budgets, reports, and performance metrics to evaluate success.
  • Ensure adherence to NDIS regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in community engagement, community development, or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing community engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and project management abilities.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and the disability sector.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in the health and social services sector is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience within Victoria's disability services market.
  • Familiarity with local community networks and organizations.
