About the Role

The Learning and Outreach Manager (STEAM) is a key position within the University of Melbourne's Museums and Collections Department. This role is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and management of STEAM learning and outreach programs at Science Gallery Melbourne and other venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of STEAM learning experiences, targeting diverse audiences and collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee operational aspects, including budgeting, risk management, and team leadership.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships, and secure external funding for the STEAM program.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and operational delivery of the Learning Experiences Program.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification; or relevant experience in education or education programs in a cultural or public engagement environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering STEAM learning experiences for secondary school audiences.
  • Highly experienced in establishing, planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating education programs for secondary school students.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Victorian and National Secondary School Curriculum.
