Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Specialist to join our Utilities business in Adelaide. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive your career further and gain industry-relevant experience with on-the-job skill development and coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders, landowners, indigenous communities, local councils, state governments, and other governing bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and concerns to prevent access constraints from inhibiting the survey and construction program.
- Promote a Safety First culture and ensure all contractual and legislative requirements are met prior to access of land for survey and construction works.
Requirements
- Strong relationships with community and stakeholders at all levels.
- Qualifications in communications and/or stakeholder engagement combined with hands-on project experience in an infrastructure construction environment.
- Experience managing stakeholder expectations and balancing priorities.
- Empathy, listening skills, and the ability to make sound and balanced judgments.
- A good understanding of the project life cycle of major infrastructure/construction projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Alignment with our REAL values.
