Job Summary

This position plays a crucial role in coordinating participation from consumers, families, and carers involved in MHDA services for improved service planning and delivery. The successful candidate will facilitate the co-design, development, and implementation of strategies to ensure active consumer and carer engagement at all levels of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the Family and Carer Mental Health Program and family-sensitive practice initiatives across the LHD.
  • Provide line management to the Consumer Engagement Coordinator MHDA and additional positions as required.
  • Work closely with consumers, families, and carers to identify their needs and assist them to provide input into the development of mental health and drug and alcohol service delivery.
  • Lead and facilitate the MHDA Consumer and Carer Action Group (CCAG).
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with relevant organizations to improve service integration and enhance continuity of care for consumers, families, and carers of MHDA services.
