We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Paralegal/PLT student to join our busy practice. This part-time position is ideal for an individual who is eager to gain experience in the legal industry.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of law within the immigration portfolio, including meeting and greeting clients, assisting solicitors with administration tasks, and managing clients' files from beginning to end.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Assisting solicitors with administrative tasks such as opening/closing files, photocopying/scanning documents, and sorting/collating papers
  • Managing clients' files from beginning to end of the visa process
  • Liaising with clients over the phone and email enquiries via our website and social media platforms
  • Assisting solicitors with drafting submissions and researching relevant legislation and case law
  • Assisting cases concerning Conveyancing, Wills and Estate, and Probates work
  • Making appointments and diary management for Principal and online booking management

Requirements for this role include:

  • Previous Paralegal experience in a law firm (preferable)
  • Previous Immigration legal study is an advantage
  • Ability to think on your feet and use initiative to troubleshoot issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-presented and punctual
  • A professional phone manner
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn
  • Experience with using Microsoft suites and Microsoft Team software is an advantage
  • Fluency in another language
