The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Parramatta. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Fortinet devices and a strong background in network architecture, security, and administration. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: * Design, configure, deploy, and manage functional network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN) using Fortinet and other devices. * Monitor network performance and integrity, ensuring high availability and reliability. * Troubleshoot and resolve network issues escalated by support teams. * Implement and oversee security measures, including access authentication and disaster recovery. * Automate network tasks and monitor their effectiveness. * Mentor and provide technical guidance to the other network engineers. * Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of network configurations and changes. * Collaborate with other IT teams to support network services and ensure seamless integration. * Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network engineering and security. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Fortinet devices. * Professional certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CCNP, or equivalent. * In-depth understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and security principles. * Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with network diagnostic tools. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong organizational and mentoring skills.
