Project Manager for Hydroelectric Power Plant Equipment

The Project Manager is a critical role in overseeing project leadership throughout the entire project life cycle, supplying parts and services for hydroelectric power plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects including scheduling, budget, quality, EHS, reporting, risk management, and communication.
  • Support proposal preparation with Service Managers and Sales team.
  • Manage project team members, site resources, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Oversee SAP transactions and maintain good relations with customers and internal teams.
  • Lead project execution, develop contingency plans, and create value-adding change orders.
  • Make decisions under pressure to resolve customer issues and ensure project success.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Support regional Service Managers and Business Development activities.
  • Identify and onboard workshops, service providers, and suppliers.
  • Build customer relationships and support local procedures, processes, and system development.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and entrepreneurial, with qualifications in Project Management and preferably a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. They should have 5-10 years of experience in hydro power or related industry, with skills in project management, communication, leadership, and technical report writing. Willingness to travel within Australia and New Zealand is essential.
