Plant Technician Position

We are seeking a skilled Plant Technician to join our team at the Shoalhaven Pump Storage Hydroelectric Scheme in Kangaroo Valley, NSW.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical trade and instrumentation/control, along with substantial operations and maintenance experience in power generation or heavy industry. A diploma in business, maintenance/asset management, operations, or project management is also highly desirable.

Key responsibilities of the role include carrying out plant operations and maintenance, ensuring equipment health, risk, performance, and improvement, maintaining performance and compliance, and adherence to work management principles. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing, reviewing, and executing against equipment strategies, O&M plans, and supporting inventory optimisation.

As a member of our small multi-skilled team, you will work closely with all site personnel, business partners, functional teams, and contractors to achieve business outcomes and lead initiatives across the Shoalhaven Scheme.

To be successful in this role, you will require demonstrated knowledge, experience, and commitment to safe working principles, procedures, and methods applied in power stations or heavy industry. You will also need to have demonstrated experience and understanding of operations, maintenance, outage, project, and contract management/supervision in power stations or heavy industry.
