Job Overview:

The Service Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leading hydropower projects from initiation to completion. This position oversees project leadership throughout the entire life cycle, ensuring timely delivery of services and equipment for hydroelectric power plants.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects, encompassing scheduling, budget management, quality control, environmental health and safety, reporting, risk management, and effective communication.
  • Support proposal development with Service Managers and Sales teams.
  • Lead project team members, site resources, contractors, and suppliers in achieving project objectives.
  • Oversee SAP transactions and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans, create value-added change orders, and drive project execution forward.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with regional Service Managers and Business Development teams to support business growth initiatives.
  • Identify and onboard new workshops, service providers, and suppliers to enhance the organization's network.
  • Foster customer relationships and contribute to local procedures, process development, and system enhancements.

Personal Requirements:

We seek a self-motivated, reliable, and entrepreneurial individual with qualifications in Project Management and preferably a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate should possess 5-10 years of experience in the hydro power industry or related field, with expertise in project management, communication, leadership, and technical report writing. Willingness to travel within Australia and New Zealand is essential.
