Job Title: Tenancy Portfolio Leader

This role is ideal for a seasoned leader who can provide strong, visible leadership across a portfolio of housing teams. You will oversee tenancy services, support and coach team leaders, and ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act. Your ability to develop, mentor and empower leaders to drive team capability and performance will be key in achieving our organisational goals.

About the Role

As a Tenancy Portfolio Leader, you will play a critical role in managing escalated matters, including representation at VCAT. You will also be responsible for embedding a culture of collaboration, accountability and service excellence within the team. With a focus on empowering individuals and fostering inclusive communities, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong, visible leadership across a portfolio of housing teams.
  • Oversight of tenancy services, including coaching and mentoring team leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act.
  • Representation at VCAT.
  • Embedding a culture of collaboration, accountability and service excellence.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in a housing, tenancy, property management or community services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and experience in VCAT representation.
  • Able to develop, mentor and empower leaders to drive team capability and performance.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High levels of resilience, adaptability, and commitment to trauma-informed practice.
