The RoleThe Senior Integrated Communications Advisor plays a leading role in providing strategic communications advice to business units across the organisation. This involves developing and implementing communication and engagement plans to promote Council services, programs, projects, and initiatives in line with organisational objectives, brand, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective communications strategies to engage with the community, staff, and Councillors.
- Provide strategic communications advice to business units across the organisation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Resolve issues to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Work flexibly to respond to changing priorities and complete tasks within tight timeframes.
- Tertiary qualified in communications or another relevant field.
- A great storyteller with the ability to identify key outcomes and messages from reports and meetings.
- An innovator with a track record of developing and delivering effective communications.
- A strategic thinker with an understanding of the diverse needs of the community and the local government environment.
