Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Description

The Fire Sprinkler Service Inspector is a critical role at DynaFire, responsible for conducting thorough fire sprinkler inspections to ensure compliance with NFPA 25 and NFPA 72 standards. This position requires a strong understanding of fire protection systems and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and AHJs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fire sprinkler inspections and services for a wide range of clients with various fire protection system applications.
  • Schedule inspections with clients and maintain a good working relationship with AHJs.
  • Communicate the scope of work and requirements to clients and ensure timely completion.
  • Understand and apply NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24, and 25 standards.
  • File electronic copies of completed paperwork and utilize time management skills.
  • Answer after-hour service calls and inform management of any job-related issues or concerns.
  • Provide Service Sales Representatives with information on sales leads, change order opportunities, and fire sprinkler sales.
  • Learn to perform basic troubleshooting on fire alarms and comply with DynaFire's safety procedures.
  • Acquire and maintain required equipment on the tool list and follow client safety programs.
  • Participate in training classes to grow professionally and increase knowledge of the industry.
Training and Certification Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in fire sprinkler service
  • FASA certification
  • Back-flow certification
  • NICET Level II or equivalent in water-based systems
  • Proficient in office hardware and software tools used by DynaFire
  • Fluent in back-flow, wet system, dry system, fire pump, fire pump controller, and alarm device terminology as well as troubleshooting procedures
