Building Materials Coordinator

The role of a lab technician involves coordinating daily activities for field testers and contractors within a high-performing team environment.

- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and organize daily sampling and testing of concrete and construction materials for production assessments.
- Customer Support: Develop strong relationships with internal/external customers, ensure tests meet relevant standards and frequencies.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain established procedures and systems, adhere to NATA accreditation standards, perform equipment calibration, and maintenance.
- Reporting and Documentation: Support technical reporting, including signing off on test reports.
To excel in this position, the ideal candidate should have:
- 2+ years' experience in construction materials testing.
- Strong leadership attributes including good people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with AS/TfNSW standards and NATA requirements.
- Experience with concrete allocation and lab systems.
- Cert IV/Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (advantageous).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
