As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of engineering services to the Navy's Surface Fleet.

About the Role
  • You will be accountable for developing and proactively managing procurement requirements across the vessels' lifecycle.
  • Your key responsibilities will include applying procurement practices in a Defence supply chain environment, managing procurement through to delivery, and maintaining data integrity of inventory management systems and logistics databases.
  • You will also work with the Inventory Team to ensure efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain established stock levels, support audit and quality assurance controls, and contribute to performance management against key performance indicators.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Practical commercial acumen, particularly in sourcing, quotations, orders, supplier engagement, and delivery management.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a procurement role, preferably within a Defence environment.
  • Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office.
