What does your next role look like?

**Main Purpose of this role**:To effectively manage procurement activities with Japanese suppliers, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services to support company operations.

**As a pivotal member of the team, you’ll navigate diverse responsibilities, including**:

- Plan monthly orders, issue purchase orders, and manage inventory to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with Japanese suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and prices with vendors, leveraging Japanese language skills for effective communication.
- Evaluate supplier performance and foster strong vendor relationships to uphold quality standards.
- Monitor market trends and proactively source alternative Japanese suppliers when necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and activities in compliance with company policies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding procurement processes, ensuring regulatory compliance.

A little about you

To excel in this role, you should possess the following attributes:

- Proficiency in Japanese language, enabling effective communication with Japanese headquarters. Fluency is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred, although not obligatory.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in diverse business settings.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comprehensive understanding of supply chain best practices and industry trends, particularly in Japanese markets.
- Access to personal transportation is preferred.
