Highly Skilled Security Specialist

The Protective Services Group provides security services to state government departments.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct observations of Government buildings and facilities
- Operate specialised security equipment and exercise powers under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 as required
- Provide backup assistance to other Protective Services Officers, especially in critical incident situations
- Control personnel entry and vehicle parking on Government property according to policies and procedures
- Detect and report fires and building hazards, assisting in emergency evacuations
- Undertake activities in accordance with procedural and policy manuals, the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, and relevant legislation
- Maintain high-standard communications with clients and public
- Provide supervision, training, and support to Protective Services Group members
- Suitable applicants will undergo the Protective Services Officer Course, facilitated by the Protective Services Group
- Requires wearing of a uniform
- A current First Aid Medical Certificate is mandatory
