The Role

This challenging role requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in insurance broking or underwriting. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in ISR, business packs, Liability, Motor, and Professional risk. Additionally, they should be able to interact effectively with business owners, manage client portfolios, and process documentation efficiently.

  • A competitive annual salary of approximately $120,000 - $150,000
  • Expertise in ISR, business packs, Liability, Motor, and Professional risk
  • Ability to interact with business owners and manage client relationships
  • Prior experience in all aspects of insurance broking, including responding to client requests, processing, and documentation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingsness to mentor and share knowledge with junior staff
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Tier 1 broking essential
  • Competence in IT and office procedures

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of SME risks, valued at circa $300,000 in income. They will also work closely with strategic leaders to develop and implement a new business strategy. This will involve directing quotations, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Maintenance of a portfolio of SME risks, expected to be circa $300k income
  • Development and implementation of a new business strategy, working with strategic leaders
  • Direction of quotations, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring SLAs are met
  • Proactive management of new business leads provided by the brokerage
  • Identification of opportunities for cross-sell and/or up-sell of products to clients
  • Collaboration with team members to achieve business objectives
  • Mentorship of junior team members, aiming to secure leadership of the team
