Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Underground Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating underground mining equipment, including continuous miners, roof bolters, shuttle cars, and load-haul-dump (LHD) machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various types of underground mining equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure production targets are met by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and manage the mining process to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations and report any incidents or irregularities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Underground Longwall Coal Mining.
  • Current competency in the operation of plant or equipment in underground coal mining.
  • Proven track record of safely working in an underground mining environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in coal mining.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle heavy equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experienced continuous miner operators will be highly regarded.
