Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to reduce the risk to safety and the environmental impact of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety
    • Implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries, such as proper training, safety equipment, and hazard assessments.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with the company's goals and to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Provide training and awareness programs for employees to ensure they are equipped with knowledge and skills to adhere to safety protocols.
    • Investigate workplace incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities and equipment.
    • Maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as fire, chemical spill, and natural disasters.
  • Environmental Responsibility
    • Monitor and manage environmental impacts, including waste management, resource use, and pollution control.
    • Develop and oversee the implementation of sustainability reporting.
    • Adhere to environmental laws and regulations related to emissions, waste management, and pollution control.
    • Maintain accurate records and report environmental performance and incidents as required by regulations.
    • Assist in maintaining certifications, such as COSMOS, ISO 14001, and RSPO.
    • Regularly review audits and update policies and procedures to improve HSE performance.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
    • Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Knowledge: Understanding of HSE regulations, safety standards, and environmental management practices, preferably ISO 14001 and APCO.
    • Skills: Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong written and verbal communication skills.
