Job Overview

The Disability Equity Adviser will provide technical advice and direct support to assist the Partnerships Platform in addressing disability outcomes in aspects of program implementation to enable inclusive and equitable outcomes.

This role will leverage local networks to contribute to programs' support to partner countries which progresses reforms and policies that are more inclusive of persons with disabilities. It will also provide strategic advice, services, and coordination to enable supported development activities, programs, services, and approaches being more inclusive of persons with disabilities.

  • Deliver disability equity training, mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance activities to strengthen the Partnerships Platform's program delivery and support DFAT Posts.">

Requirements

Applicants must be driven and knowledgeable professionals with a background in international development, social work, psychology, or a related field. They must have hands-on experience in disability equity audits, training delivery, and inclusive development especially within Pacific contexts.

They must bring institutional capacity and apply diverse capacity development approaches to make them trusted advisors. Ideally, they have worked in or supported small island developing states, and they're passionate about embedding disability inclusion into budgeting and broader development strategies.
