Objective:

  • The Centre's mission is to support researchers and participants in conducting workshops that align with the Centre's objectives.

Job Description:

The Workshop Grants Program supports research-focused workshops and activities.

Eligibility includes Australian-based research institutions, Centre participants, and international attendees primarily focused on Australian stakeholders. Applications must demonstrate involvement from researchers and end-users from multiple organisations.

Workshops can be held virtually, in-person in Australia, or as a hybrid event, provided they meet program objectives. A matching contribution, either in-kind or financial, equal to or exceeding the grant amount, is required for all workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster partnerships between researchers, industry professionals, government agencies, and community organisations.
  • Provide an exchange of ideas, knowledge, and best practices among stakeholders.
  • Promote translation of research into real-world applications improving disaster risk reduction outcomes.
  • Enhance skills and expertise of researchers and end-users addressing natural hazard-related challenges.
