Adult Survivors Program Coordinator Role

Job Description

The Adult Survivors Program aims to provide advanced clinical, strategic, educational and programmatic expertise to establish and implement a specialist integrated program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs.

This role will lead the establishment of local clinical networks and relationships, establishing and maintaining effective networks with relevant clinical streams, clinicians, and services within the LHD.

Facilitate partnerships between services/streams to improve service delivery and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on clinical, strategic, educational and programmatic matters related to the Adult Survivors Program.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to enhance service delivery and outcomes for adult survivors of child sexual abuse.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including clinicians, services, and community groups.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and support to adult survivors of child sexual abuse.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Social Work qualification in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Act.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in providing counselling, group work, parenting and case management interventions to clients with child protection, violence, neglect and trauma.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide high-level clinical advice and education to enhance service delivery, including supervision around violence, abuse and neglect issues.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage with stakeholders across complex environments.
