Clinical Nurse Specialist - Sexual Health
Job Description:This permanent full-time opportunity provides the chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients and clients. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-level nursing care, contact tracing, client follow-up, health promotion, and prevention interventions for individuals at risk of or presenting with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (BBVs).
Key responsibilities include providing safe and compassionate person-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
You will work closely with colleagues to develop and conduct educational sessions and clinical teaching to promote best practice and support professional development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Approved post-registration qualifications in a specialty field with at least 3 years' full-time recent experience in the clinical area.
- Advanced knowledge of STI and BBV transmission and prevention, including viral hepatitis and harm minimisation principles.
- Ability to exercise extended autonomy in nursing practice and leadership in clinical practice development.
- 5 weeks annual leave.
