
Equipment Maintenance Professional

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced maintenance technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our service vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading service vehicles, receiving, counting and storing stock, and recording data using computer and manual systems.
- Undertaking delivery activities associated with power solutions, including assembling, loading and unloading batteries using crane/Hiab, and transporting them to customer premises as instructed.
- Accounting for all stock under control, maintaining and reporting accurate stock levels, verifying inventory by comparing to physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies or adjusting errors.
- Ensuring all labor, materials, products, parts used on service or warranty jobs are booked out by computer or manual systems.
- Using equipment provided, including forklift equipment, in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and safety guidelines.
- Liaising with logistics companies where required.
- Packing and unpacking goods in an orderly and accessible manner or according to advised systems.
- Marking stock items using identification tags, stamps or other labelling equipment as required.
- Completing maintenance logs and conducting daily/weekly inspections as requested on equipment and facilities, ensuring compliant and safe operating standards are maintained.
- Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Determining proper storage methods in the vehicle, identifying and stocking location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Keeping records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Keeping service vehicles in good order, clean and reporting any damage or issue to supervisors.
- Advising supervisors when service vehicles are due for maintenance service.
- Disposing of damaged or defective items, or returning them to suppliers as directed.
- Preparing and maintaining records and reports of inventories, lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued from service vehicles.
- Conferencing with purchasing personnel and suppliers regarding stock procurement and availability.
- Recommending disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock in the vehicle.
- Handling equipment safely and providing assistance or direction to other staff.
- Rebuilding of power solutions as required by following the provided bill of materials to ensure all products meet customer expectations and quality standards.
- Servicing and testing of power solutions as required.
- Assisting in identifying Non-Conforming Product (NCP) and ensuring it is moved to a quarantined area when identified and cannot be misused in production.
- Following product maintenance programs to ensure all products are kept at a high state of charge to prolong shelf life.
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including identifying and removing possible hazards while enforcing safe work practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Forklift Licence
- A Current Driver's Licence - preferably MR level
- Very good spoken and written English
- Some technical or trades background would be advantageous to enable the candidate, with appropriate training, to support the power solutions activities, particularly building and transporting products for customers;
- Practical experience in workplace safety
- Computerised systems experience
- Manual handling and OHS knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills
- Delivery of excellent customer service and proactive problem-solving approach
- Able to multi-task and time-manage effectively
- Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Results orientation and ability to achieve desired results in a professional manner within agreed deadlines
- Flexibility with working hours, including after-hours and local travel if required
- Committed to excellence and generating a high-quality of work
- Possess good vision (may be corrected), ability to see colour, and hear and communicate in English
- Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work as part of a team, with or without supervision
