Operations Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Support Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role provides general administrative support to the Regional Operations Manager, Area Managers, HR Business Partner and broader Victoria Country Operations team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor systems that support operations, including purchasing, learning and finance.
- Provide support in relation to safety management systems, policies and procedures.
- Provide professional and timely customer service to existing and prospective internal, external and corporate customers.
- Distribute key regional operations information to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake administrative project work as required.
- Act as a super user of Kronos - our time and attendance system; provide high level support to operations leaders.
- Coordinate regional training for employees.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Sound written and oral communication skills and the ability to construct professional documents.
- Intermediate ability in MS Excel; a bonus if you have some experience with finance, procurement and/or people systems.
- High attention to detail and timeliness in completing work; a proactive approach to work in general.
- Positive outlook and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Bonus: basic understanding of payroll, return-to-work coordination and safety, health and environment.
- Ability to work in a team as this role will work closely with our operations team as well as other Administration Assistants at our other sites.
