Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify and address potential safety risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety training programs.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in health and safety coupled with an environmental management qualification.
  • Proven experience in the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management tools.
  • Rail or heavy industry project experience in field-based roles implementing safety management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of local legal requirements.
  • Initiative, drive, and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the operations.
