Job Title: Commercial Insights Specialist

As a Commercial Insights Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering business-driven insights through advanced data analysis. This role is ideal for a motivated finance professional with a passion for analytics.

This position involves working closely with our Finance Performance and Assurance team to develop financial models, reports, and operational processes that drive informed decision-making. Your expertise in data manipulation, analysis, and synthesis will play a crucial role in supporting month-end reporting, regulatory obligations, and business insights.

You will have the opportunity to leverage automation tools like Power Pivot and Power BI to extract key insights from large datasets. Additionally, you will contribute to financial modelling, analysis, and reporting, as well as support the execution of new initiatives to enhance financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage advanced data analysis to deliver business-driven insights.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and operational processes.
  • Support month-end reporting, regulatory obligations, and business insights.
  • Conduct internal benchmarking of similar projects and external benchmarking where possible.
  • Assist in the formulation and documentation of financial and operational data governance, data catalogue, and data quality assurance processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance.
  • Current membership or working towards membership in CPA Australia (CPA), Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA), or CFA Institute.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance, commercial, or business analyst role.
  • Strong experience in producing accurate and timely management reports.
  • Proven ability to manage large volumes of data, analyse trends, and extract key insights.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., Power Pivot, VBA, Macros).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate a complex organisation and build strong relationships.
