Senior Laboratory Professional

We are seeking a senior laboratory professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Melbourne laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate the laboratory on a daily basis, ensuring all testing requirements are met;
- Mentor and coach staff to develop their skills in testing and quality assurance;
- Evaluate and validate data integrity for all filed and laboratory data;
- Develop and implement lab quality systems, working closely with the QA Manager to meet NATA standards;
- Prepare client information, project details, and submit testing schedules using our electronic log-in management system;
- Oversee sampling, testing, and reporting according to specifications and test methods;
- Generate test reports and invoices;
- Review and approve test reports before issuing them to clients;
- Manage laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration;
- Supervise staff to ensure operational, technical, and WHS quality standards are maintained.
- Experience in testing soils, aggregates, and concrete to relevant Australian and Vic Roads standards;
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or higher qualification;
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements;
- WHS compliance and responsibilities knowledge;
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills involving research, analysis, and evaluation of information;
- Australian Driver's license;
- Current or eligible for Nuclear gauge license.
