Our organization is seeking a skilled Engine Watchkeeper to join our team. This full-time role involves maintaining the operational capabilities of our vessel's engine and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and ancillary machinery for efficient operation in accordance with performance management system requirements
- Conduct deck maintenance and rounds as required by the Chief Engineer
- Perform engine room duty engineer duties on rotation
This position requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements- Australian citizen or unlimited Australian working rights
- Minimum 6 months' sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper
- Certificate of safety training (STCW)
- Work safely at heights certification
- Enter and work in confined space certification
- Maritime security identification card (MSIC)
- Compliance with Australian maritime authority marine order 72
