We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Mackay. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions to our clients across various industries.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural design, analysis, and project delivery, with a minimum of 8 years' experience working on construction projects within the mining, marine, and transport infrastructure sectors.

Key responsibilities will include undertaking structural design calculations, conducting condition assessments, audits, and surveys, as well as liaising with staff members in other offices.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge and experience in using structural analysis software packages such as SpaceGas and Strand7, as well as sound knowledge and experience in structural design, client/stakeholder management, and project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the following skills and qualifications are required:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering;
  • At least 8 years' industry experience;
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in using structural analysis software packages such as SpaceGas and Strand7;
  • Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management, and project delivery;
  • Understanding and/or experience on major construction projects;
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Be currently residing in Australia and have unrestricted working rights;
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English to a professional level;
  • Experience in working with marine, mobile machines, bulk materials handling or shafts/tunnel assets; and
  • Sound knowledge or experience with Cathodic Protection design and durability engineering.
