Alumni Engagement Manager

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a network of alumni and friends to support the University of Otago.

  • Create and implement strategies to build relationships with alumni and designated friends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across divisions to provide advice and support for alumni engagement.
  • Develop and manage networks to sustain collaborative relationships domestically and internationally.

Job Title: Alumni Engagement Manager

The Alumni Engagement Manager will create a professional and engaged network of alumni and designated friends to build sustained support for the University of Otago. The role involves leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of alumni relations strategies aligned with the university's strategic objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven leader with experience in developing and delivering client-centric programs, ideally in alumni relations or other advancement disciplines.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including policy direction, strategic planning, budgeting, and team leadership.
  • Ability to interact effectively and quickly gain credibility with a wide variety of alumni and stakeholders, including high-profile figures.
