Macquarie University seeks a Relationship Officer to strengthen connections within the alumni community, develop engagement initiatives, and drive philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with alumni through one-on-one meetings, events, and online interactions to foster lifelong relationships.
  • Build alumni engagement by identifying opportunities for tailored activities.
  • Support faculty collaboration with the alumni community to align activities with strategic priorities.
  • Respond to alumni inquiries via email and phone.
  • Support annual giving programs to increase alumni donations across various cohorts.
  • Coordinate alumni events and support large-scale events.
  • Perform data analysis, validate information, and execute email campaigns and social media outreach.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and strong communication skills.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and supporting engagement initiatives and events.
  • Interpersonal and written communication skills for developing engaging connections with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and internet tools.
  • Fundraising experience and knowledge of philanthropy.
