Job Title: Collections Advisor
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at WEX Australia Pty Ltd as a Collections Advisor. This is a permanent position based in our Melbourne office, with a hybrid work arrangement.
About the Role
- Manage and collect payments from customers, ensuring timely and accurate administration and tracking of outstanding balances.
- Evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of customers through credit checks, financial statements, and other relevant information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively manage credit risk, prioritizing high-value risk assessments to enable strategic sales.
- Support the roll-out of new digital products and the replacement of legacy on-premise platforms, as well as other key business initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure team performance and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements, assessing current processes and ongoing projects for strategic alignment, value proposition, associated risks, and dependencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Experience in credit management, with sound credit and financial analysis skills.
- Effective business acumen and payment industry knowledge.
- Proven ability to work efficiently within a team environment and build lasting relationships externally and internally.
