About the Role

As a Career Development Specialist, you will work closely with clients to identify their career goals and aspirations. You will take the time to understand their strengths and develop tailored coaching plans to support them into meaningful employment.

You will also work with employers to understand their business needs and provide staffing solutions that genuinely fit. This is a fast-paced, people-focused environment where your energy, empathy, and commitment to outcomes will shine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and create career opportunities, matching clients to suitable and sustainable roles
  • Champion inclusive employment and workforce diversity, focusing on people with disability, injury or health condition
  • Engage and work alongside employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment
  • Broker work experience to build participant skills and assess employer/client compatibility
  • Prepare workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training
  • Facilitate employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion
  • Build employer and community networks to create job opportunities
  • Promote Breakthru as a trusted provider supporting people with disability to achieve career goals

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services - desirable
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and manage workload effectively
  • Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disability, injury, or health conditions
  • Skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
