About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to assist in the enforcement of planning provisions and provide effective liaison with the public and other authorities.

  • To undertake enforcement of the provisions of the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme and other relevant legislation.
  • To establish and maintain effective relationships with the public and other authorities to achieve compliance with Council's development standards.
  • To provide administrative support functions as directed.
  • To manage customer service requests allocated for actioning.
  • To ensure the delivery of key activities in line with Council's objectives.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A thorough understanding of planning and other legislation.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • An ability to resolve contraventions through engagement, discussion and conciliatory approach to problem solving.
  • An ability to deliver clear and comprehensive written and verbal information.
  • An ability to present evidence in court proceedings.
  • Proficiency in word processing and computer literacy.
