Director of Infectious Disease Research

The successful candidate will play a key role in strategy, governance, and coordination for a nationally significant research centre.
About the Position- Provide high-level advice and support to stakeholders on interactions and engagement strategies.
- Develop and implement responses to internal and external information requests, and reporting requirements.
- Analyse complex or ambiguous issues, develop appropriate solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure or with limited information.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (such as biological or animal sciences) or equivalent experience in an area relevant to the role.
- Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating ability to formulate and prepare scientific, strategic, and government communications, including complex reports, analyses, plans, and briefings.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with proven ability to investigate complex problems, develop solutions, and make informed decisions in urgent situations.
