Job Summary

This role involves working within a school community to enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and targeted wellbeing support, as well as whole-of-school wellbeing initiatives and programs that are evidence-based.
About the Role

The Student Support Officer is an integral part of the wellbeing team, working collaboratively with external agencies to create referral pathways for students and families to child and family support agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with the wellbeing team to enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes
  • Provide individual and targeted wellbeing support and whole-of-school wellbeing initiatives and programs
  • Collaborate with external agencies to create referral pathways for students and families
Requirements
  • A completed diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
  • Valid and current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
