The role of a Student Wellbeing Professional is to provide supportive interventions and assessment services to students, enhancing learning outcomes and promoting overall wellbeing.
This collegiate position involves working with students from diverse backgrounds and needs, collaborating with key stakeholders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes. Regular supervision and continuing professional development are integral components of this role.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Student Wellbeing Professional will engage with school communities and colleagues, as well as external agencies. Opportunities for skill expansion, ongoing learning, and access to benefits such as school holiday leave and health and wellbeing initiatives are available.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based interventions for student wellbeing and psychological assessment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other stakeholders to enhance learning and wellbeing outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to support student learning and mental health needs.
- Be a registered or provisionally registered psychologist, or eligible for registration with the relevant board.
- Demonstrate experience in providing supportive interventions and psychological assessment services to children and young people.
- Exhibit ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and develop relationships with students, teachers, and community members.
