Job Summary: As a skilled High Voltage Line Technician, you will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead transmission lines under the guidance of experienced professionals. Your expertise in installing and maintaining wood poles, H-frames, steel poles, lattice towers, and concrete poles will be crucial to ensuring the reliability and safety of our power grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and operating overhead electrical power lines and systems
  • Maintaining and repairing transmission and substation facilities
  • Assisting in the construction of new transmission lines at voltages from 69 kV to 500 kV
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and mentoring junior line technicians

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Able to climb wood poles, steel poles, and lattice steel towers without assistance
  • Ability to work at heights up to and above 100 feet
  • Able to drive all vehicles assigned to the line crew
