About the RoleThe primary purpose of the Construction Coordinator role is to coordinate and assist in the management of the project from concept design through to delivery and finalisation.
This includes communicating with various departments in the organisation to ensure everyone is on the same page.
This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership and the ability to deliver projects with a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Support reporting, forecasting, budget control, procurement, and program updates.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain project documentation in Aconex and SharePoint.
- Procurement Support: Assist the Construction and Services Managers in reviewing and preparing procurement documentation, including Scope of Works and programming.
- Project Meetings: Facilitate and lead project meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Contract Administration: Assist in contract administration during the project life cycle.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities from early works to final handover.
- Expenditure Approval: Support the preparation of Expenditure Approval Requests for services trades contracts and variations.
- Progress Claims: Validate GC and services trade progress claims, participate in site inspections, and prepare payment certificates.
- Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Confidentiality and Health and Safety Policies.
- Maintenance and Support: Oversee the documentation for the ongoing maintenance and support of the data centre.
This role is ideal for those with a background in project coordination or engineering on major construction projects.
We also encourage individuals with senior trade experience who have significant exposure to project management processes to apply.
- Key Skills: Strong understanding of key stakeholder requirements with effective communication through ACONEX, PROCORE, and BIM.
- Expertise: Expertise in building methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Interpretation: Skilled in interpreting drawings, architectural plans, and specifications.
- Knowledge: Knowledgeable in quality control, health and safety systems, and cost management.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Construction or Project Management preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficient with MS 365 applications.
Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
