
Career Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Career Development Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for delivering career development learning (CDL) and employability services, programs, and resources that are informed by best practice and evidence.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Team Leader - Student Careers Consultant and in collaboration with Faculty Careers Specialists to contribute to the development of new programs and resources.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference in the lives of students. The Career Development Specialist will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering CDL and employability services that meet the needs of students;
- Collaborating with Faculty Careers Specialists to develop new programs and resources;
- Working with stakeholders to drive innovation and sector-leading practice;
- Conducting career development work in ethical and culturally sensitive ways that recognise and respect diversity;
- Maintaining high levels of confidentiality in dynamic, fast-paced work environments.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field, with additional training such as a Graduate Certificate in Careers Education and Development or Certificate IV in Training & Assessment;
- Well-developed skills in the use of common office technologies and software;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated cultural sensitivity;
- Evidence of strong client/student focus in dynamic, fast-paced work environments;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team environment.
