Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Patient Transport Officer. This role involves providing safe and efficient transportation services for patients, as well as performing various duties related to patient care.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransport patients between locations, including medical appointments, nursing homes, airports, and remote areas.
Provide transportation services for staff and deliveries as requested.
Maintain vehicles in good working condition and perform routine checks.
Plan and arrange maintenance of vehicle to ensure it is operational at all times.
Hold a current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
Possess a current Apply First Aid Certificate.
Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills.
Be physically capable of transferring patients, loading, unloading, and maneuvering patients around, on, and off stretchers or wheelchairs.
Have experience using computer systems and Microsoft programs.
Display ability to work independently or part of a team with limited supervision.
Have knowledge of challenges associated with working in a remote area.
Have previous experience relating to the position.
