Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT professional to provide technical support for our clients' data centre hardware issues on an ad-hoc basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of resolving complex hardware issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to resolve hardware issues, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components as required by clients.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of IT systems and hardware.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration and functionality of hardware within broader IT environments.
  • Document all service activities, resolutions, and recommendations for future reference.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure expectations are met and satisfaction is achieved.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT hardware support, with a focus on data centres.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical users.
  • Flexibility to work on a part-time or ad-hoc basis, depending on client needs.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred but not essential.
