About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join our team at the University of South Australia. As a Technical Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to students and staff in various discipline areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of Team Leader Technical Services, assist staff and students with general technical requests related to one or multiple discipline areas.
  • Supervise and support students across teaching spaces, including workshops, production studios, and technical equipment loan services.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of workshop machinery, digital technologies, and/or theatre technical skills.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Printing, Flatbed Printing, CNC, Waterjet, and other relevant software.
  • Experience working with cameras, lenses, tripods, sound and lighting equipment, and/or radio programming methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
