Technical Officer Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Specialist

Job Overview:
Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join our team in the Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine diagnostic tests and procedures in the Virology, Molecular Diagnostics, and Bacteriology laboratories.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory techniques and protocols.
- Contribute to the training and supervision of laboratory staff, including students and new employees.
- Provide technical support and advice to clients and colleagues as needed.
- Collaborate with other laboratory professionals to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field, such as Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or Laboratory Science.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
