About the Role

We are seeking a highly accomplished Professor to lead our Structural Engineering discipline and contribute to the strategic direction of the School of Engineering at RMIT University.

The successful candidate will have a strong research track record in Structural Engineering, with a proven ability to attract and supervise higher degree by research candidates. They will also have experience in managing award programs, leading program reviews, and implementing best practice teaching strategies.

As a senior academic leader, you will be responsible for developing and leading research project teams and programs, fostering a vibrant research culture, and promoting strong academic performance. You will also contribute to the planning and strategic direction of the School, taking on major academic leadership roles and participating in various committees.

To be successful in this position, you will have a PhD in a relevant field, demonstrated ability to manage award programs and lead program reviews, and a strong research track record in Structural Engineering. You will also have experience in attracting and supervising higher degree by research candidates, implementing best practice teaching strategies, and leading improvement of academic standards.

Key Responsibilities
