Inventory Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the management of our inventory across a national distribution network.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective inventory planning strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate the raising and management of purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee overseas shipments, including ETDs, ETAs, damages/shorts, landed cost calculations, and container receipting.
  • Monitor inventory health and execute stock transfers between warehouses.
  • Provide supply chain insights through data analysis and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight partners, warehouses, and internal teams to optimize logistics operations.
  • Identify excess or obsolete stock and recommend actions to minimize waste.
  • Contribute to achieving annual business priorities while meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) for fill rates, inventory targets, cost management, and data accuracy.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory planning, or supply chain roles.
  • A proven track record of maintaining optimal stock levels while meeting performance metrics.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems and planning software, particularly Sage and Netstock.
  • High attention to detail, excellent planning skills, and strong commercial awareness.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to challenge status quo and seek more efficient processes.
  • A commitment to excellence that aligns with organizational values.
  • Ability to travel interstate on occasion.
